Elizabeth (Liz) Frederick is Executive Director of Avenues for Justice (AFJ), a community-based alternative-to-incarceration organization serving youth across New York City. With more than 20 years at AFJ—rising from operations staff to unanimously appointed Executive Director in 2024—Liz has strengthened operations, doubled financial capacity, and expanded the organization citywide while maintaining deep local roots. A respected nonprofit leader, she serves on the Board of IMPACT 100 NYC and is a NationSwell Council Member. Liz is committed to equity, opportunity, and cross-sector collaboration, and looks forward to advancing GVCCC’s mission through advocacy, partnership, and community impact.
